Benefits of Membership:

  • Markets all Member Events  through PuebloPAG.org, newsletter, and  media announcements to increase audience size
  • Provides outreach to business  community for underwriting support
  • Promotes members with marketing materials, newspaper ads, and press releases
  • Provides communication and collaboration to Performing Artists
  • Provides Web page hosting free to Members (other services can be arranged)
  • Increases paid performance opportunities for members

Marketing the Arts for Pueblo:

The Main Event: The Pueblo Performing Arts Guild organizes a community arts festival each summer. This allows our members and opportunity to perform and celebrate the diversity of arts in our city.  In 2008, The Main Event partnered with the Historic Arkansas River Project (HARP), the City/County Health Department, and Pueblo Visual Artists’ to present The Main Event on the Riverwalk with a farmers’ market, for eleven consecutive Thursday nights during the summer.

Business Partnerships: The Pueblo Performing Arts Guild represents its member organizations at business expos and travel shows.  PPAG partners with Destination Pueblo, HARP, and the Downtown Association to promote business, travel and entertainment for economic development.

Critics Choice Awards: PPAG hosts the Critics Choice Awards; allowing public recognition of great performances throughout the year.  This event provides an outlet for the community to celebrate the diverse and outstanding performances available in Pueblo. 

Responsibilities of Members:
By becoming a member of the Pueblo Performing Arts Guild (PPAG) members agree to the following:

  • Send a representative to monthly Member Advisory Council  (MAC) meetings
  • Include PPAG in press release distribution
  • Supply PPAG with a season calendar, and contact PPAG with updates to performances
  • Answer requests for information about your organization, for marketing and economic development by PPAG
  • Pay yearly $50 membership fee, due in August
  • Insert  PPAG ad of  sponsors in performance programs
  • Participate in “The Main Event”

Elegibility for PPAG Membership:

  • Non-profit performing arts organizations
  • Educational programs with performing arts focus
  • For-profit performing arts organizations

Membership is not limited and allows for the inclusion of all that wish to support the mission of Pueblo Performing Arts Guild.

Member Advisory Council Participation:

PPAG members meet monthly for Member Advisory Council (MAC) meetings. These meetings are planned for the 3rd Wednesday of each month, alternating between a beginning time of 12:00p.m. or 5:30p.m.  All members are strongly encouraged to participate in these meetings. Member Advisory Council meetings are open to all, member participants make recommendations to the PPAG Board of Directors.
